Breakfast at Spur

 On Thursday morning my dad and me went to Topeka Spur in Kenilworth Center for breakfast. It was a perfect morning for it, it was very hot and we had a lovely seat near the window.  It's lovely to see all the people that are walking outside while we enjoyed ourselves.

Soda Floats are always a popular option.

Soda Floats → R 26.90

You have the option to choose from Coke or Cream Soda float.  My dad made the prefect choice by selection the Cream Soda, since the weather of Cape Town are so HOT lately!

Marvellous Shake → R 32.90 

It's a first for me to try out this shake. It's a soft serve with Bar-One sauce. I can tell you it's so yummy and an energy booster for the day.

Chicken Mayo → R 39.90 

You have the option between brown or white bread. I went for the white bread while my dad went for the brown bread.

The toasted sandwich was so delicious. The toasting of the bread was done really well.  Filling was yummy just had to add a little extra salt to it, since it was very fresh. I have to give my compliments to the chef for the preparation of the filling. It's the biggest toasted sandwich that we had and it's a real tummy filler.  On the side was a portion of chips. It was fluffy on the inside and a little crispy on the outside.

We have been served from the moment we was at the entrance and the waiter have seated us at a lovely spot near the window's and the menu have been given to us immediately, however she forgot to give my dad the seniors menu.  Didn't had to wait long for our drinks to arrive and we enjoyed it tremendously.  For the food to arrive it took a bit long for an slow morning. The waiter was friendly and helpful.

I cant find any fault with the quality of food that was being served. Our food was warm when it was being served to us.

Atmosphere: 2 

For a still morning the place was buzzing with people that was chatting.

 Would I recommend Spur for a delicious breakfast or a light meal? Yes, it's worth every penny!
